WOMEN IN LEADERSHIP
Many companies are fast paced and endure change frequently. With change, oftentimes challenges arise. It takes talent and hard work to lead through the challenges and become a better organization as a result of the change. In mid-2018, immediately after the company went through a private equity acquisition, Sharon started at YAK MAT as the Assistant Controller. She immediately mastered the YAK MAT accounting system and started making rapid progress in process improvement changes, increasing the accuracy and timeliness of financial information. In less than a year, she was promoted to the YAK MAT Controller. Her abilities to bridge multiple departments and find long-term solutions quickly were noticed by everyone in the organization.
In the Spring of 2020, Sharon was promoted to the YAK ACCESS Service Businesses Controller. This position is a critical role because it is one that supports all of our accounting departments and functions throughout all business units. It would be an understatement to say that her influence has expanded across the organization.
